Tell us a little about yourself and your website?
I started trading the markets 20 years ago… got into writing automated trading systems and indicators 15 years ago, and have been marketing such products for the past 11 years. Dynamic Trend Trader is not my first product. In fact I’ve sold others here on Flippa before, as you can see from the $150k+ in sales. I’m excited for this new product as the potential is truly limitless and you don’t even need to know anything, or much of anything, about Forex or trading in general.
The business hasn’t been around for very long and you’ve found almost immediate success. How have you marketed the product and where are your customers originating from?
I have some lists of Forex enthusiasts, and also know where to buy traffic if I need to. Also, I know others in the business who, rather than having their own products, market 3rd party products and services as an affiliate. Dynamic Trend Trader has an affiliate program that is handled via jvzoo. In addition to this, if someone understands internet marketing and how to get traffic from Facebook or Google or something like that they can probably take this to the moon, as the product is great and Forex traders love it.
This is a highly targetable audience so the potential is out there for anyone with the knowhow to get it in front of the right people. Once on their mind, it is an easy sell as these are very dedicated enthusiasts.
How much time each week are you currently spending on the business?
Basically, the entire sales process and download delivery is automated. Customers are even given video instructions and a PDF manual. Besides this, there’s the occasional question via email. The only thing not automated is driving traffic to the site, otherwise the site does the rest, so the real work is on the marketing side of the business and you can put as much or as little effort into that as you deem necessary.
How does this business make money? What are the current revenue streams?
Money is made by selling the software product offered on the site. it’s also possible to sell other, 3rd party, Forex products to our customer base for additional revenue however that is not reflected in the reported revenue on the Flippa listing. The reported revenue is strictly from sales of the Dynamic Trend Trader software product.
Why have you decided to sell the business?
I’m moving into creating different software for personal trading use and software for others to market and will focus on that. My passions lie in the creative process and would prefer to let my business go to an owner who is interested in optimizing the marketing and revenue generation.
What would someone need to do or know to continue operating the business in its current form?
Monitor the support email for occasional questions regarding the software (not regarding trading or trading advice… when they purchase they are informed that we do not offer such advice). Also, reach out to affiliates to drive traffic for a 50% commission, and/or drive traffic via other means. Again, if you know how to buy traffic online you can likely make A LOT of money with this website.
